Decorbrite Characteristics

Each of the Decorbrite products is characterised by its distinctive aesthetic appearance, obtained by a combination of mechanical roll texturing and successive chemical treatments. The key finishing processes are electrolytic brightening, which confers gloss and surface homogeneity, and anodising, during which the aluminium surface layers are converted into a thin hard layer of aluminium oxide that is completely transparent and very resistant. In this manner the resulting composite structure combines the inherent nature of aluminium metal with the surface properties of chemical inertness, high surface hardness, resistance to chemical agents, anti-static character and resistance to scratching and fingermarks. The careful control of processes and parameters used at each stage of the materials production guarantees constant product characteristics.

The Decorbrite range is environmentally friendly as it contains no resins or solvents, is completely recyclable and, compared to
steel, has the advantage of light weight (2.7G/CM3 against 7.9G/CM3 for steel). Thanks to its high formability Decorbrite gives
flight to the designers fantasies in every environment for a multitude of applications.
